Rayjah.Net was started on April 1, 2013 after many discussions with my host, Cherri. I wanted something that reflected me a little better. After explaining that I wanted something to reflect my writing and passion, Cherri helped me come up with a name and network. Originally, I wanted something to do with Casablanca, as it is my favorite movie. We jokingly called it the "Romantic" Network in reference to the Movie and the romantic in each of us (which likes to think you killed a man).
I also mentioned wanting to use Rayjah (as its part of my penname) and stated it had to be "net". Rayjah is Al Bhed for "Heaven". Basically, I wanted Heaven.Net. Cherri mentioned that I could then call the collective "Heaven's Network is Wide" in reference to my new found love for Lian Hearn's Tales of the Otori. The prequel to the series is called Heaven's Net is Wide and happens to be the background for my favorite character. Once she said it, I couldn't let it go! I had to have it! When she got up on the first, she helped me get everything all sorted out.
This domain is as much a part of my writing as it is my love of reading and video games.
